As an Obama organizer, SDCDP GO Team Coordinator for Carlsbad-South and a campaign staffer for Gavin Newsom, I understand what it takes to organize on a grassroots level and positively shape and move the Democratic Platform at the state and national levels. During the presidential election, I organized and led campaign teams in California, Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico. I developed a nationwide Spanish-speaking calling network during the Primaries that was adopted by the Obama national campaign and proved to be very effective in turning out 60% of the Hispanic vote for Obama . I also served as DNCC Military and Veterans On-site Coordinator for the OC and San Diego. I am currently active post-election in the Obama Statewide Change Network, North County for Change and La Costa “Yes We Can” working groups, and the CDP's Business/Professionals and Veterans Caucuses.
