Dante Atkins is seeking re-election as a delegate from the 42nd AD.  During

his first term starting in 2007, Dante worked to bring progressive change to
the California Democratic Party.  As a member of the Platform Committee,
Dante helped write the most progressive environmental plank in the history
of the Party, and co-authored with fellow 42nd AD delegate Brad Parker an
all-new plank of the platform dedicated to media fairness and net
neutrality.  Dante also authored a pending bylaws change restricting the
number of out-of-district appointments available to elected officials and
party nominees to prevent unfair packing of endorsement caucuses.

Dante also serves as the Political Director of the Los Angeles County Young
Democrats, and is a frontpage author at Calitics.com, California's leading
progressive political blog.
