Someone who can work effectively with Congress, who can convey the wishes of the people. There has been an unfortunate disconnect between Democrats and their leaders on vital issues, like the war and the impeachment of Bush and Cheney. Courage. Integrity. I'm looking for a member that is dedicated to moving Congress and the Administration away from authorizing funds, and spending, for military purposes, rechanneling those funds toward efforts to meet the challenges of preserving habitat for humans and other species. Less politics, more character...I have donated to the Obama campaign but in the last couple of days, I am considering Nader because Obama seems to be waffling on values. It may hurt the results but it is the only tool I have to help get us to the high ground. It is too late for baby steps, the species of mankind may become extinct if we do not pay attention to the real issues. Is this a wasted message? Does anyone read these?

Understanding of the interconnectedness of all life; absolute integrity; intelligence; fearlessness in the face of corruption;faithfulness to the Westphalia Treaty to never invade another country and only defend our own with the use of force when attacked; a person who would not have signed the Iraq Resolution (such as Hillary Clinton); one who ignores the gender of others with the understanding (lacking in such persons as Deborah Grabien) that having a vagina does not necessarily mean that one is qualified for the presidency. Support Howard Dean's leadership of the DNC. Do what you can to push the party to: Support the Constitution and fight to uphold the principles of checks and balances in government; uphold the rule of law and the respect for habeas corpus. Consider ending market speculation of commodities. Work with the U.N. to alleviate world poverty. Immediately address seriously the present and future disaster of global warming. Improve the environment and create jobs while doing so. I want members who will bring back the concept of the Common Good as the basis for our nation's morality, who will talk about how government can be used to enhance the Common Good. Cut the bloated military budget at least in half. Provide free and quality college education to all who want it. Provide single payer health insurance to all and a mininum guaranteed income. Increase income taxes on wealthy to at least 50%. End farm subsidies except to promote grass farms and organic farming. Stop promoting corn-based ethanol. I agree with the above writer. The Democratic leaders along with the Republicans and the news media have treated Senator Hillary Clinton so badly that it makes me ashamed to be a Democrat. Obama is fine but he does not have the knowledge and experience that Clinton has. And his health care plan fall far short of hers. I look for persons whose underlying philosophy or truth understands that we are only as strong as our weakest links. We need to restore and improve social programs, and to reform the way corporations steal the very life sustanence from our hands. Our government needs to be dismantled and to be rebuilt from the bottom up. Until we ensure that everyone is fed, none of us will be able to escape the rat race, because the energy of that single human struggling to obtain food, water, shelter, clothing, medical care, and love sends an energy through the unified field that affects us all - and makes it impossible for humanity as a whole to evolve. Basic human needs must trump everything else. Period. The End.

I expect a member to hold the candidate, and once elected the incumbent, responsible to not change up on us once they become our representative. I don't care about pressure in D.C.. I expect change to come from any elected Democrat. I also expect the DNC, the sum of it's members, to organize enought to answer to we Democrats, by actually reading email and mail, and responding to phone calls. There is no other way to represent the majority. Polls are B.S. and we all know it. I expect a member to attend "ALL" meetings and to vote on everything that is voted on. If they cannot be that attentive they should resign their position and let someone who can take their place. I expect honest, diligent representation!

I write, for a second time, to tell you, that your treatment of Sen. Clinon, was so abysmal, so shabby, that it proves, conclusively, that I must begin to consider the impossible, that of leaving the party; something I never thought I'd contemplate. Character, an indefinable element, lacking in nearly all politicians. Intelligence, to give voice to that character that must be present, if intelligence is to mean anything. If the above two indispensible qualities in a politician, are present, the odds are very strong, that he/she will be a democrat. if the above two qualitie are not present, he may be a democrat or a republican, but it won't matter, because he'll be a self-serving buffoon in finely tailored clothing.

Someone with some courage, for one thing. I don't believe that telling the truth and standing for what is right will lose an election. I am pleased with Howard Dean's leadership of the DNC and he has been proven right in his strategy, so I want someone who will support him. Ending the occupation of Iraq AND of Afghanistan are top priorities. Cancelling the Bush tax cuts, not just waiting for them to expire in two years, is another. Investing in infrastruture and creating jobs while doing so. Most of all, I want members who will bring back the concept of the Common Good. Who will talk about and explain the concept of the Common Good and why it is important. Who will talk about how government can be used to enhance the Common Good for everyone, using tax dollars to do so.

DNC members should support the "not another dime" policy towards Iraq. As a former army contractor, I can say first hand that the genocide in Iraq is a cruel hoax against the populations of both Iraq and the US. Iraq serves as a good litmus test for candidates: if they support funding for "responsible withdrawal", "stability", "democracy", or any other bogus excuse, they're either lying, on the take, or stupid, and have no business being in any policy position.

Honor, honesty and patriotism. Today, June 10,2008, on the floor of the Senate, Arizona State Senator Karen Johnson called for an independent investigation into the collapses of the Trade Towers and building 7. She is a Patriot! Do we have any Patriots in California? (FLOOR SPEECH) Last month, I started speaking publicly regarding my concerns about the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, which brought down the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, as well as Building 7. If you’ve watched the media coverage since I first began to speak out, you know how vicious and irrational it has been toward me. The media have worked hard to try to make it seem silly to even question the 9/11 Commission Report, even though some of its own authors have done so, including both of the Commission Co-Chairmen – Mr. Hamilton and Keane. Actually, the 9/11 Commission Report represents just one theory – the theory that fire and the damage from the airplane impacts brought down the three buildings. This theory explains none of the features of the destruction that we all witnessed that day and which we can still observe on hundreds of videos. It explains nothing about how in four out of four cases, no hijacking code was transmitted by the hijacked airliners, and in four of four cases, no fighter jets managed to get alongside any of the hijacked airliners. The military officers who lied to Congress about their failure to protect America would have been referred for prosecution by some of the 9/11 Commissioners, but those Commissioners were told that they did not have that authority. The events of that day were a heinous crime against our nation and our citizens, and the sense of justice that exists in each one of us demands to know what really happened and how all the perpetrators will be caught and punished. The speculation and theorizing won’t end until a thorough, transparent investigation, free of conflicts of interest, takes place. Among the many theories that you can find on the Internet is one that rises above all the rest. It is rock-solid, confirmed by hard evidence, and supported by hundreds of scholars, architects, engineers and other professionals who have the education, training, and expertise to know what they’re talking about. This is the theory that explosive demolitions brought down the Twin Towers and Building 7. I’ve placed a handout on each of your desks which has a photo of one of the towers as it begins to collapse. I’d like you to take a look at that photo, if you will. Notice in the picture that you see steel beams being flung outward from the building, and great huge clouds of dust that is actually pulverized concrete. A building that falls down, doesn’t pulverize itself into dust as it drops. Imagine dropping a chunk of concrete 30 feet or more. Is it going to fall apart into dust? No. Yet, the concrete in the towers was blasted into powder that covered all of Manhattan. You can see that powder already being formed long before that upper section has fallen more than a few floors. As you look at that photo, ask yourself, “Is this a picture of a building collapsing or is this a picture of a building exploding?” Does a building that collapses have the ability to fling its own steel beams sideways up to 600 feet? Does a building that is just starting to collapse blast its contents outwards in a massive cloud of dust? What do you see in that photo? I see an explosion. And so do millions of other people who are demanding a real investigation. More important than simply looking at a photo -- engineers, architects, and scientists have evaluated the rubble at Ground Zero and other aspects of the buildings ,and they have found evidence of at least 15 different characteristics of explosion. These 15 characteristics are listed on the handout as well. Despite the media’s outragious attacks on my sanity, intelligence, and patriotism, the emails and phone calls to my office have been 95 percent supportive of my request for a new investigation. I’ve been amazed, really, to see just how overwhelmingly the public rejects the official reports, not only of the 9/11 Commission but also those by FEMA and NIST (National Institute of Science and Technology). I assumed that expressing skepticism about the official story of 9/11 would be a punishing issue for an elected official, but I’m finding that it’s quite the opposite. The public wants its leaders to stand up and be counted when it appears that something is wrong. "The truth will set you free." Blair Gadsby and my guests today want the the truth about 9/11. The American PEOPLE want the truth about 9/11 – they want a new investigation, and so do I. I have provided each of you with a DVD entitled, "Improbable Collapse." I’m hopeful that you will watch it with an open mind and that you’ll also study some of the wonderful, well-researched articles on the internet. I’ve included a list of the most credible websites with your handout. You don’t have to embrace every theory about 9/11. Indeed, there are some that should be soundly rejected. But if you believe, as these scientists, architects and engineers do, that the buildings were brought down by explosive demolition – then you must also agree that we need a new investigation. I have no preconceived notions about who did it and I am not pointing the finger of blame at anyone. But I do think that the worst attack on U.S. soil in American history deserves the best investigation possible, AND THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN UNTIL PEOPLE LIKE US BEGIN TO SPEAK OUT. The families of the nearly three thousand people who died on Sept. 11 – and the families of those who have been poisoned and died from the toxic residue that hung in the air for weeks afterward during the clean-up operation -- deserve to know what killed their loved ones. If anyone else was involved in the planning and implementation of the attacks, then they need to be brought to justice. I ask you to study the material I have given you and then join me in the call for a new investigation. Thank you, Mr. President.

It's irrelevant: Barack Obama's silence, and the party leadership's silence, as Hillary Clinton was lynched by the media for daring to have a vagina while running for president has driven me out of the party. I've registered with my state as "no party." I was an active, vocal, passionate fundraiser for the Democratic Party for 35 years. Not anymore. When they couldn't be bothered to say a word when Alex Castellanos called her "white Bitch" on CNN, I left. No longer a Democrat. My party is gone. They don't value women, they don't get my money, my voice or my vote. You might want to get a little worried right now, folks. I really doubt you can win without the 18 million women Dean, Kennedy, Reid and, yes, Obama drove out of the party by their silence and arrogance. The fact they're now blithely assuming we're going to vote for Obama doesn't bode well, nor is the further evidence of arrogant stupidity and sexism endearing them to us. I want DNC candidates to have a sound knowledge and appreciation for our Constitution, which means that they do not accept the unfettered power of the executive branch of government to start wars without Congress actually declaring war, and to indefinitely detain human beings without allowing them adequate legal counsel and without charging them with any crimes. I want to know that DNC candidates will fight to uphold the principles of checks and balances in government, and the principle of freedom from government coercion and harassment, as well as the rule of law and the respect for habeas corpus, even if the President in power happens to be a Democrat.

A DNC member must be a party as well as a community activist. Must beieve in the platform of the party and inclusive. The DNC member must work for the state interest as well as care about the overall operations of the DNC.
