Rebecca Leo

Rebecca Leo:  A retired teacher and English professor who has worked
for progressive causes since college days when I joined the Young
Democrats club.  During the sixties I was active in civil rights and
anti-war organizations and activities.  After living abroad for many
years I moved to Cambridge, MA, and there got involved in equal
opportunity and peace movements.   I supported a Green candidate for
Governor and was very active in the campaign to elect Deval Patrick as
the first Black Governor of Massachussetts.  For several years I have
worked through
MoveOn.org in electing a Democratic majority to
Congress and in electing Obama as President.  I have worked tirelessly
doing voter registration and canvassing my precinct. In my spare time
I am an avid tennis player and I continually work to live a more green
lifestyle. I have volunteered to be a CA Democratic  Party Delegate
because I consider this amongst the most important volunteer work I
can do to ensure a better future for her family.
