Tom Camarella is a current 47th Assembly District Democratic representative, a past President of the Culver City Democratic Club, and was one of the key organizers of the unprecedented Statewide Democratic Candidate Forum held in Culver City in April 2006. After obtaining his Juris Doctorate, he spent 20 years as a union representative and negotiator in LA County and has been involved in virtually every progressive initiative and candidate campaign since. When he ran for Culver City Council in 2004, he was proud to be endorsed by Diane Watson, Karen Bass, Antonio Villaraigosa, Mark Ridley-Thomas and many other prominent Democrats. He fought for and was present when the Calif. Democratic Party’s Progressive Caucus was reformed in 2006. He currently is on the Board of So. Calif. Americans for Democratic Action (SCADA), an active member of Progressive Democrats of Los Angeles (PDLA) and on Karen Bass’ Commission on the Environment
