Representing our district for the past 2 years
has allowed me to hear what matters to neighbors--
in personal conversations, small gatherings and
Town Halls-- communicate those issues to the Ca.
Democratic Party (CDP), and start making
important changes. Go Community Organizing!

Each of us can make a huge difference. The 42nd
Assembly District reps keep proving that with our
work on progressive causes (see partial list
below).

I'm particularly proud of nearly nine years
advocating for Clean Money, which gives
candidates public funds to compete effectively in
elections so they don't have to be rich or owe
special favors to big money donors. To end the
political and economic corruption controlling our
country, we need ethical people in charge.

With thousands of other activists I helped get a
law passed to let people run Clean Money
campaigns for the office that runs Ca. elections--
Secretary of State. I've also worked to make LA a
Clean Elections City.

I'm also: Recording Secretary, Valley Democrats
United; Kitchen Cabinet officer, Kitchen Table
Democracy; Exec Board member, Democratic Party of
the San Fernando Valley (DPSFV). I write for The
Huffington Post
, The LA Progressive and Valley
Dems United's online newsletter about democracy--
micro to macro.

A member of the CDP Progressive Caucus, I
volunteer primarily for Clean Elections, Ending
the Iraq War, Single Payer Healthcare and

Ending Poverty/Homelessness. Other issues

I'm involved in: Marriage Equality, Worker Rights,

Media Reform, Net Neutrality, Restoring
Liberties/Constitutional Rights, Quality Public
Education
for All, and Alternative Energy. I
supported impeaching Bush and Cheney and want
them held accountable.

We've made progress; there's much to do. Your
vote will help me keep pushing the party forward.
Thanks for your consideration.
